STOCKINGS

A mix of poignant, heartfelt lyricism and unbridled, honest angst, Stockings will take you on a journey full of feeling.

Their self-titled debut EP looks at life through the snapshots of key memories, a mixture of post-punk tracks made to be blasted and softer indie pieces that feel incredibly personal. Produced by Melbourne music mainstay Phill Calvert, who brings clarity and power to the band’s sound.

Stockings is the new project of Lucy Robertson-Reid, Iggy Sim (also in indie noise-rock band the Noise), Aspen Lehmann and Otto Grodach (from punk band CWA).

Lucy was a key creative force behind Naarm’s Karen Took The Kids, the outfit burst onto the indie scene with notable tracks such as 2021’s angst-filled ‘Postcode Anxiety’ and 2023’s softer ‘Witch Hazel’, the latter a particular reflection of the depth of Robertson-Reid’s honest lyricism.

With a strong indie community already behind them and experience on stages across Melbourne, Stockings is excited to see where this project takes them.

Currently working on recording new tracks, Stockings are also playing their debut headliner gig on April 17th at Nighthawks with Perth-based band Paint and friends Opera.
