ABOUT US

RAWKUS LIVE is a monthly live show featuring teenage artists and performers from within a local Council or Shire aimed at developing performance skills & experience, creating musical networks, community connections and providing a positive supportive outlet for creativity and expression.

RAWKUS also provide for hands on experience for teenagers interested in the technical aspects of music such as lighting, sound and stage management.

RAWKUS LIVE is an initiative of Rock Academy Pty Ltd.

Rawkus® the word is a registered trademark in Australia and used under exclusive agreement with Rawkus Australia.

Rock Academy was founded by musicians Phil Ceberano and marketing professional and sometime musician Alan Long in 2015.

Rock Academy is a music initiative that connects teenage musicians and allows them to unleash their creativity with the mentoring of pro touring musos.

Teens form a cover band, select a song to rehearse, record and perform. After a songwriting session each teen joins a second band to write an original song to record and perform. At the end of the week each band gets on a real rock stage and let’s rip in front of an adoring crowd of over 250 music lovers.

All performances are recorded (video and audio) then mixed and edited for release of the Big Show on YouTube some three weeks later.

The RAWKUS LIVE project is led and managed by Alan.
