THE BLOODY NORAHS

The Bloody Norahs are a 5 piece alt country inspired indie/folk rock band from Melbourne Australia.

With the release of their first single “The Birds” in late 2022, the band went from playing their first show in their hometown to sharing festival stages with Kurt Vile, as well as Australian legends such as Jen Cloher, Peter Bibby and The Grogans.

The Bloody Norahs recorded their debut album over 2023, with the bulk of the recording being done with Jasper Jolley (front man and primary songwriter of Bones and Jones) at his apple farm studio in the coastal town of Ocean Grove.

The record also features a contribution from Neil Finn (Crowded House, Split Enz, Fleetwood Mac), and was mixed by legend Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Mildlife, San Cisco).

The debut album explores the influence of how family and the places we live shape us, and dictate the path of least resistance with how we relate to others.
